Horse Shoe - Rickey E. Kitchen, 66, passed away Saturday, September 28th 2024 after a hard battle with ALS.

Rickey was a generous, kind, and funny husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He spent many years as a little league coach, AWANA Commander, and Sunday school teacher, serving God and serving others; that was his life's mission, one he was committed to every day. He served Transylvania and surrounding areas for many years with his HVAC business. He is and will be dearly missed.

Rickey is survived by his wife, Kathy Kitchen of Horse Shoe; his children: Joshua Kitchen of Rosman, Marisa Haggerty of Horse Shoe, and Tara Cantrell of Charlotte; his grandchildren: Alex Kitchen, Jacob Thompson, Nature Kitchen, Jazzmyn Kitchen, Abygayle Haggerty, and Matilyn Haggerty; and his brothers: Gary Kitchen, Rodney Kitchen, Terry Kitchen, and Kevin Kitchen.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm,  Friday, October 11, 2024 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11am. Burial will follow immediately after at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memories.
