Rita Faye O'Shields Payne Brevard – Rita Faye O'Shields Payne, 53, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Georgia Burrell O'Shields. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Hope O'Shields and her brother, Jeffrey O'Shields. Surviving are her husband, Tracy Crocker; sons, Colby Payne of Brevard and Brandon Crocker of Asheville, Daughters, Marsha Searcy of Brevard, Crystal Barton of Brevard, Beth Hensley of Asheville, Tracy Smith of Brevard, Jessica Rhodes of Fletcher and Melaina Crocker of Brevard, sisters; Gail Johnson of Melbourne, FL and Diane Metcalf of Brevard; brother, Joseph O'Shields and wife Susan of Myrtle Beach, SC, grandchildren; Henry, Connor, Austin, Ethan, Peyton, Grayson, Bentley and Jackson. The memorial service will be held 7pm, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Carrs Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Hardesty officiating.
