On March 27 2010, Robert Bradley Brown's earthly journey ended, so he could join his Heavenly Father. A native of Transylvania County he was born March 31,1934 to the late Leonard Brown and Ada Hamilton Brown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Hazel Medlin and Patricia Collins. Mr. Brown was retired from Olin, a member of Brevard Wesleyan Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed for his kind and caring ways by his family and many friends. Survivors include his wife Anne Smith Brown of the home, one daughter; Mrs. Kathy Devore and her husband Sherman of Pisgah Forest, one brother: Doug and his wife Perry Lee Brown of Brevard, three sisters: Mrs. Mary Jane Huggins and her husband Robert of Brevard, Shirley Arnett and Jan Osborne and her husband Ted all of Brevard, one grandchild Mrs. Tabitha Wiggins and her husband Joseph of Pisgah Forest, three great grandchildren Zachory, Destiny and Isaac Wiggins all of Pisgah Forest and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday April 3, 2010 at 11:00am at Brevard Wesleyan Church conducted by the Revs. Morris Davis, Dave Blackburn, and Hank Moffitt. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the John F. Keever Solace Center, P.O. Box 5779 Asheville, NC 28813.
