Obituary

Robert Richard Corradini, age 88, born in Madison, New Jersey on November 6, 1937, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life defined by adventure, dedication, humor, and love of family.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for five years before pursuing his lifelong passion for aviation. He went on to spend 25 years as a pilot with Pan American World Airways, a career he cherished deeply. Bob loved flying and carried that passion throughout his life, often sharing stories, wisdom, and his favorite saying: "Keep the blue side up."

In 1992, Bob married the love of his life, Joanna Sherman Corradini, and together they built a beautiful life over 33 years of marriage. Their shared love of travel took them across the world on 26 cruises, creating memories that will live on with those who knew and loved them.

Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and genuine kindness. Whether sharing a laugh, telling a story, or offering advice, he had a way of making people feel at ease. Friends recall his lighthearted perspective on life—even in the cockpit—always balancing confidence with humor and wisdom.

He was a devoted husband, a proud stepfather to Allen Sherman, and a loving grandfather to Matthew Sherman, Bryson Sherman, Danielle Kline and Nathaniel Kline. He was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Evelyn Kline.

Bob is further survived by his Goddaughter Katie Severson and her husband Erik Severson, along with his beloved dachshund, Buddy.

An avid reader and a man of strong convictions, Bob lived life on his own terms, guided by curiosity, integrity, and a deep appreciation for the worldaround him.

A memorial service honoring Robert's life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 3pm, with military honors to recognize his service in the United States Air Force. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life well lived. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home at 181 South Caldwell St. Brevard, NC 28712.

Robert will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
