Brevard – Robert G. Eason, Jr., 85, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Oaks of Brevard. A native of Bessemer, AL, he was the son of the late Robert Gandy Eason, Sr. and Jewell Roberts Eason and was the husband of 57 years of the late Necia Galloway Eason. Mr. Eason was awarded a Purple Heart while serving in the U. S. Navy during WW II while serving on the U.S.S. Saratoga. He was retired from Ecusta Corp. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery with the Revs. Benson Galloway and Tommy Owen officiating.
