Robert (Bobby) Howard Galloway, Sr., 73, of Rosman, NC went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 23, 2017, peacefully in his home after a long struggle with illness. He was a native of Transylvania County and spent most of his life farming and owning Galloway's Produce. He was the son of the late Howard E. Galloway and Fannie Wilson Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Barbara Galloway Antone and his stepson Christopher Buchanan, nephew Kenny Holcomb. Survivors include one son, Robert Howard Galloway, Jr. of Lake Toxaway, and two daughters, Crystal Galloway and TJ, of Arden, Sharonda Bridges and Chris of Jacksonville, FL., also Mary Galloway of the home. One brother, Richard K. Galloway of Rosman. Two sisters, Margie Holcomb and Bob, of Rosman and Martha Sue Maxwell and Volly of Fletcher, and only grandson Daniel Bruce Gilland, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces and nephews and others that loved him. Funeral services will be held 1pm, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Lake Toxaway with the Revs. Chester Chappell and Wally McCall officiating. The family will receive friends 6pm-8pm, Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Oak Grove Baptist, Lake Toxaway. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be his son Robert, Jr., TJ Pressley, Jerry Ackerman, John Paul Rose and Jeremy Mckinney.
