Robert "Bob" McKelvey of Pisgah Forest, NC closed his eyes for the last time on this earth and opened them for the first time in heaven the morning of October 24, 2022. He was welcomed by his parents, Bernard and Delphia (Fink) McKelvey, his brother, Ron McKelvey, and many loving extended family members and friends. A stout man of God who always put family first, Bob will be sorely missed by his wife, Violet (Stutzman) McKelvey, brother, Steve McKelvey (Bonnie), and children, Angela Hernandez (Carmelo), Monica Norman (Patrick), Chase McKelvey (Citlalmina), and Shawn McKelvey (Arminta). His grandchildren, Tannor Whitmire, Langston Whitmire, Gabriel Whitmire, Izaac Norman, Jeramiah Norman, Canaan Norman, and Alivia Norman will also keenly feel the loss of his physical presence as will his host of nieces and nephews.

Bob leaves a crater in many people's lives that will never be filled but his family and friends rejoice in God's healing mercy and the knowledge we will be reunited with him again. His love for all of us was only eclipsed by his love for God and we take comfort in the knowledge that he has been blessed with the phrase we all long to hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant.".

The celebration of Bob's life will be held at Hendersonville Church of God (located at 2103 Brevard Road, NC 28791) on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 4:00 pm and the family will be receiving family and friends as early as 3:00 pm.
