Brevard – Robert Eugene "Bob" Taylor passed away on June 27, 2023.

Bob was born on November 17, 1939 in Banner Elk, NC. He was a son to the late Lavoid Floyd and Mary Magdalene Kincaid Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gale Taylor Reece and his brother, Floyd Randall Taylor.

The Taylor family moved to Brevard soon after Bob's birth. He graduated from Brevard High School class of 1959.

Bob was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Following retirement from the Air Force, he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for several years.

Survivors include daughters, Wendy Taylor-Dherin of Ireland and Sandy Taylor-Linder of California, sister, Jan Holden and her husband Alvin, one niece and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Taylor family would like to thank the staff of The Landings at Mills River and Four Seasons Hospice for the excellent care he received during his final months.
