Robert "Bob" Michael Tuttle, 77, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on May 20, 2026, at Madison Health and Rehabilitation in Mars Hill, North Carolina, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born on November 18, 1948, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, he was the eldest son of the late Richard Lowry Tuttle and Alice Joanne Huffman.
A proud veteran, Bob was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his military service, he embraced his love for the outdoors and adventure—first operating a large dairy farm in the Missouri Ozarks, then exploring the Arizona desert near the Superstition Mountains, and later working in the Las Vegas casino industry. In the early 1990s, he retired to western North Carolina to be closer to his family. An avid hunter, Bob always found peace, quiet, and solace in the woods.
He is survived by his three children, Robyn Tuttle Davis (Terry), Perry Tuttle (Katie), and Anthony Tuttle (Hannah); his siblings, Tammie Stills (James) and James Tuttle (Kim); and many beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
No service planned at this time.
