Robert Eugene Ward Sr. of Brevard, formerly of St. Cloud Florida, went home to be with the Lord Saturday Sept. 18, 2021.

He was born Feb. 16, 1942, to Joseph Ward and Zilpha Long. Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 47 years, Della Rae Ward; son Robert Ray Ward; siblings Linda Hansell, Marilyn Ward, Charles Ward, and Joseph Ward and both parents and stepfather Charlie Long.

He is survived by his daughters Raylene Galloway (Randall) and Lynette Ward; his sons Tim, Bobby (Kim), Rick and Russell; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; his brothers William Thompson (Pam) and Bruce Ward; his sisters Faye Platt and Betty Kay Sharpe and several special nieces and nephews.

He lived life to the fullest and did it his way. He had a great sense of humor and always kept everyone laughing. To say he lit up a room with his smile when he walked in is an understatement. He loved God, his family and the "USA." He enjoyed spending time with his family. Surprise visits were his specialty. He would hop on his motorcycle and ride across the country. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

A service to celebrate his life will take place at The Mark in St. Cloud, Florida, Saturday Oct. 2, 2021, at 11am.
