Robert John Wooley age 80, of Brevard died Tuesday September 18, 2012 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. He was born July 23, 1932 in Queens New Yorh to the late Herbert J. Wooley and Estele Roof Wooley. He was retired from AT&T a veteran of the U. S. Navy the V.F.W. a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife Catherine Ann Early Wooley, four daughters; Catherine Petrih, Marianne Brown, Jean Seldon and Patricia Treend, one son; Robert Wooley and grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Thursday September 20, 2012 at 10:30am Conducted by Father Patrick D. Toole and Deacon Patrick Crosby. Military Honors will be presented by The Honor Guard for The Veterans of Transylvania County and the North Carolina National Guard. Interment will follow at the North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
