Rodney Cleaven Blackwell, 57, of Brevard died Tuesday August 20, 2013. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to late Cleaven and Frances Elizabeth Ferguson Blackwell. He was an avid member of Enon Baptist Tabernacle of Philadelphia where he was a choir member and served on the usher board. He was a member of the Connie Mack Recreation Center Team Council in Philadelphia. He also worked as a delivery man for the Philadelphia Daily News. He is survived his sisters Denise Evans and husband Terry of Seattle, WA, Saundra Lee McGeathy of Philadelphia, and brother Bruce C. Blackwell of Brevard; eight nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday August 26, 2013 at Transylvania Rescue Squad on Fisher Road from 12:00-2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Transylvania Rescue Squad in the name of Rodney Blackwell.
