Roger Dale Gray was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 at the age of 64. He was born to Velvia Gray and Julia Banther Gray on October 7th, 1955 as the fourth of seven children. He loved and was dearly loved by his two daughters, two sons-in-law, and six grandchildren. Roger was recently retired from 33 years of dedicated service as a lineman for Duke Energy. After retirement he was returning to his lifelong passion of race cars, but he found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and "grandbabies." Most importantly he walked daily with Jesus and delighted in sharing his faith. He is survived by his two daughters Jennifer (Jeremiah) Yoder and her children Abby and Silas, Heidi (Brad) Ball and her children Brayden, Claire, Brody and Cassie, his six siblings JoAnn Gray, Betty Ann Gray Owen, Vel Gray Jr., Charles Odell Gray, Denise Gray Middaugh, Kenneth Darrell Gray as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, January 13th from 6-8 pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at Little River Baptist Church the following day, Tuesday, January 14th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in remembrance of Roger to one of his favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
