Obituary

Ronald Stanford Norman "Turk" entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2026, at his home.

A native of Brevard, North Carolina, Ronald was born on November 15, 1957, to Jacob and Rachel Norman. He was a 1976 graduate of Brevard High School. Following high school he attended Asheville Buncombe Technical College. He worked for Ecusta in Pisgah Forest, North

Carolina as a Machine Operator for 10 years, and six years for Kellog's Plant in Atlanta, GA as a Machine Setter. He was a member of Bethel "A" Baptist Church.

Ronald was known for his radiant smile and infectious laughter. He possessed the heart of a true servant despite his disabilities. His ability to find reasons to smile and share his testimony of how God had brought him through was a testament of his character.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Imari R. Norman brother, Rudy Norman and two sisters, Alma J. Norman and Deborah A. Norman.

Left to cherish his memory a daughter, Levonda Rochelle Norman of Raleigh, NC; Two grandchildren, Hinata and Shion Norman, of Tokyo Japan; Three brothers, Jacob Norman, Jr of Brevard, NC, Michael A. Norman (Charlene) of Columbia, SC, Bradley L. Norman (May) of Harris, NV; Three sisters, Gwendolyn Leonard of Pensacola, FL, Gloria Williamson (Tommy) of Brevard, NC, Michelle Harris (Terry) of Sophia NC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Going Home Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Bethel "A" Baptist Church, 290 Oakdale Street, Brevard, NC, Rev. Dr. Pamela C. Holder, Pastor.
