IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronnie Monroe
Morgan
October 14, 1955 – April 16, 2024
Ronnie Monroe Morgan of Pisgah Forest passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024. At the time of his passing, he was 68 years old. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Morgan and mother Janie Brinkman. He is survived by his wife, Sandy and daughter Joanna Morgan, brother Russell and sister Debbie, as well as several aunts and cousins.
There were many facets to Ronnie, but his guiding principles were, Faith, Family, Friends, and service. He has unshakeable, immovable faith that Jesus Christ was his Savior and that all his undertakings needed to reflect the teachings of Jesus and the grace filled love of God.
Was he perfect? He would be the very first to tell you not, in fact, he often told people that he was the chief sinner among sinners. To not look at him as an example but to look to Jesus. He tried hard to serve Jesus by helping others as he could and loving them no matter how they treated him. He always looked beyond circumstance to what could be, rather than what was. He always wanted to help and serve others.
Ronnie and Sandy celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on April 7th. Together they travelled and faced their successes and failures with courage, faith, and determination. Each of them picked up where the other left off, true complements to each other. His joy was Joanna his daughter. Her character, her strong work ethic, and her love for others are truly a reflection of his guidance, and he was very proud of her. He often told Sandy that he did not know where Joanna got such a kind and loving heart, he thought none of it could have come from him, he was so wrong about that, there is so much of him in her.
Ronnie developed and ran a successful construction business for years and built many fine homes in the area, but he also balanced the twelve-hour days with being active in travel, sports, churchwork and community events. He was a Brevard Blue Devil, Miami Dolphin, and Carolina Panther Fanatic. He loved fishing, boating, camping, and dragging bookworm Sandy out doing these things with him. But none of these activities lured him and kept him involved like deer hunting. He loved the early morning hours in the deer stand and would call Sandy from the stand, waking her up at the crack of dawn to describe what he was seeing as nature woke up. You can imagine how much she encouraged him to keep doing that…
Ronnie loved being on job sites and laughing and cutting up with subcontractors and his friends. In fact, that was one thing he hated about retirement, he missed the fun times at work. But some of his best times were those he had with friends at the hunting camp and on the lake fishing. He truly treasured each one of his friends.
Sandy and Joanna invite all of Ronnie's friends and family to his celebration of Life on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2:00pm at Grace Baptist Church, 10 West Holden Road, Brevard.
