Balsam Grove - Ronvall Owen went to sleep and woke up in the arms of his Lord and Savior on May18, 2022.

He was born June 21, 1938 to the late James Edward Greene who was killed in an accident. Ronvall was raised by the late Melvin and his mother, Flora Owen of Balsam Grove. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister, Reba Mccall, brother, Sylvalia Owen and a son, Samuel Chase Harrison Owen.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife during her ministry in Cherokee for three years. He also enjoyed bear hunting with the Balsam Grove boys.

Survivors include, his loving wife, Catherine Tilley Owen, sons, Jimmy (Elaine) Little River, Emory Owen(Krista) of Brevard, daughters, Rita Thomas(Gary) of Mills River, Tonya Bond of Rosman and Jennifer Fitzgerald of Hendersonville, sister, Otelia Napier of Portland Oregon, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12noon, Monday, May 23, 2022 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home with Rev. Catherine Tilley Owen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Emory Owen officiating.
