Ruby White Hudson, 83, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Elizabeth House. A member of Glady Branch Baptist Church for 64 years, she retired from Ecusta. She was the daughter of Bornice and Dave White. Preceding her in death were her husband of fifty years, Vern; an infant son, Bobby and grandson, Eric Hudson; brothers William and Syd White; sisters Cumile Hinkle, Mary Phillips, and Sally Searcy. Survivors include sons Philip and Stan (Barbara and her family); brothers Joe and George (Eva); special niece Tina Searcy Almany (Garney); grandchildren Cam Hudson (Kristie), Emily Hudson, Brittney Andrews, Lindsey and Cody Lail, Zachary Bracken, Lauren and Garrett Almany; great-grandchildren Jayda and Cree Hudson, Danika Hudson, Hayley and Michael Yarbrough. Ruby is also survived by many dear friends and extended family members. Visitation will be at Glady Branch Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 31 at 1 o'clock. The funeral service will follow at 2 o'clock with Rev. Allen Thompson officiating. The family of Mrs. Hudson would like to encourage anyone who has a baby blanket made by Ruby to bring it to the service so we may honor her thoughtfulness and talent.
