Mrs. Ruby Merrill, age 91, passed away February 4 2013 in Marietta, GA. She was born October 1, 1921 in Brevard, NC and was a member of the Little River Baptist Church Penrose, NC. She retired from Riches Department Store. Mrs. Merrill is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Paul Merrill, and her parents, Amos and Judy McCall. Survivors include her daughter Jeannine Atcheson of Dallas, GA, son Eddie and wife Allyson Merrill Fayetteville GA, grandchildren, Jessica Merrill of Atlanta, GA, Jennifer Merrill Locke of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul Merrill of Athens, GA, nephew Dr. David Merrill of Kingsport, TN, nieces. Martha Merrill of Knoxville, TN and Kathy Panaranto of Kingsport, TN. A special thanks to Brittany House, Crossroads and Jane Auja for the care they gave her and to Chaplin Tom Mosley for the joy he brought to her for the Christian music & Bible Scripture he sang and read to her weekly. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Little River Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be at 11:00 on Friday at Moody- Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard.
