Brevard – Ruby Pruitt Thomas, 86, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Oaks of Brevard. A member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Myrtle Blythe Pruitt. She was the wife of the late Arthur Lewis Thomas who died June 3, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Tobitha Thomas Corn who died in 1999 and grandson, Mike Thomas who died in 2003 and half sister; Marlene Beddingfield and a brother James Walter Pruitt. Surviving are her son; Keith Thomas and wife Joyce of Pisgah Forest, sister; Patricia Taylor and husband Lavaun of Candler, two nephews; Buddy and Jeff Taylor, grandchildren; Kevin Thomas and wife Sharee, Doug Corn and wife Alisa, Derinda Powell and husband Harry and one great granddaughter, Deanna Corn and a great grandson on the way; Isaac Walker Thomas, son in law; Doug Corn, Sr., half sisters, Janice Proctor, Sarah Jackson and Sherri Osteen; half brother, Buddy Pruitt and extended family and friends. In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road #101, Greenville, SC 29615. Funeral services will be held 1pm, Monday, June 1, 2015 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
