Rufus Sylvanace "Sug" McCall, age 72, of Brevard died Monday March 1, 2010. At The Oaks of Brevard he was born July 23, 1937 in Transylvania County to the late Willard McCall and Edith Searcy McCall Tinsley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Charles McCall. Mr. McCall was a member of the Rosman Baptist Tabernacle a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Ecusta. Survivors include his wife Margaret Robinson McCallf the home, two sons; Tony McCall and his wife Michelle of Brevard and Brett McCall of Enoree SC, one daughter; Mrs. Peggy Orr and her husband Wayne of Columbus NC. Two brothers Arthur McCall of Penrose and Edward McCall of Pisgah Forest, two sisters Mrs. Frances Lyday of Hendersonville and Mrs. Wanda Aiken of Pisgah Forest and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday March 5, 2010 at 11:00am at the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Chester Chappell and Rev. Arthur Aiken Sr. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Calvert Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
