Ruth McCrary Adams, 95, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 14, 2010. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Marie Jones McCrary. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Lang Farmer, her second husband, James Lee Adams, brothers, Ted, Alvin, Boyce, Calvin, and Fred, and sister, Norvella Metcalf. Mrs. Adams was a member of Little River Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Joe Farmer and wife Cheryl of Versailles, KY; three grandchildren, Sherry Lynn Aytes and husband Larry of Lexington, KY, Christopher Lee Farmer of Versailles, and James Allen Farmer of Versailles; three great-grandchildren, Halley Morgan Farmer, Sydney Aytes, and Rachel Elizabeth Farmer. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 18, 2010 at Pisgah Gardens with the Rev. Kadez Wilde officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 pm Thursday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
