Ruth H. Feaster, 92, of Brevard, NC, died November 26, 2013, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where she had resided since May, 2012. Her husband, Marshall M. Feaster, Jr. died on October 24, 1993. Born in Barnard, NC, she was the daughter of the late Daniel T. and Lela (Phipps) Haynie. She grew up in Asheville and graduated from Western Carolina University in 1942. During her career she worked at Ecusta Corporation, Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church, and at Brevard Federal Savings and Loan. During retirement she lived at Lake Toxaway, NC, where she enjoyed boating with her friends and family. She is survived by two sons, Marshall M. Feaster, III, M.D., and his wife, Jane, of Wyomissing, Pa; and Samuel H. Feaster, M.D., and his wife, Christy, of Knoxville, Tn., six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Ruth was predeceased by three sisters. A memorial service will be held at Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church or to Lake Toxaway United Methodist Church.
