Pisgah Forest - Ruth Hines Williams, age 97, died on Sunday, May 30, 2021. She was predeceased in 2017 by her husband of 71 years, Jack, and by three brothers and three sisters and a number of nieces and nephews. A native of the Green Creek community in Polk County, NC, she came to Transylvania County in 1942 and worked at the Ecusta mill and, after a period as a homemaker, later at Ecusta/Olin, both in the Endless Belt department. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Meg Williams and Paul and Laura Williams, grandchildren, Nick, Sam, Jack, and Grace and several nieces. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sharing House (Transylvania Christian Ministries, Inc.). Services will be private. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory are caring for the family.
