Brevard – Samuel Phillip Yoder, 80, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was the son of the late Phillip and Nellie Gouge Yoder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Yoder. Survivors include sons; Sam Yoder and wife Lynn of Brewer, ME and Charles Yoder and wife Jamie of Brevard, daughters; Anne Randall and husband Matt of Brunswick, ME and Michelle Owen and husband Ben of Lake Toxaway, brother; Sid Yoder and wife Joy of Linville, NC, sisters; Margie Arkansas of Cherokee, NC and MaryLou Yoder of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Vicki Keener and her family. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Carr's Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Davidson River Cemetery Extension with military honors conducted by the Transylvania County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12noon - 2pm before the service.
