Sapphire – Sandra Faye Kenney, 56, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals from injuries sustained in an automobile accident A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Colemon "Cope" Kenney and Mary Lovine Lyday Kenney. Surviving are her uncle and aunt, Neil and Ann Lyday of Sapphire; several cousins. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, April 30, 2011 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Burrell and Berlis Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Montvale Whitewater Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:30 am Saturday at the funeral home.
