Scott Raymond Ownbey,71, of Pisgah Forest, N.C., went to be with his Lord on March 23, 2024.  A union painter and welder by trade, he was a hard worker until a car accident left him paralyzed in 2017, which left him to reside in The Oaks of Brevard.

Born in Salem N.J., to Scott L Ownbey, Sr. and Alma C. Ownbey-Willis, who have both predeceased him.

He leaves behind his sister, Peggy Lynn Hopely (Robert), of Tombstone, AZ, his half-sister, Judy Carey, of Pennsville, N.J., his stepson, Christopher Adair (Rebecca), of Lake Toxaway, N.C., and his daughter Victoria Merrill (Daveron Joe), and his life partner and care giver Charlotte Adair, several cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and

many friends.

At his request there will be no viewing or funeral.  Cremation will be at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory.
