Tarboro, NC– Sharlean Banther Butler, 52, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. She was a native of Transylvania County and was a 1982 graduate of Brevard High School. Sharlean loved children, helping the elderly, and "her" mountains. She also loved her family very much. Survivors include her parents, Robert "Buster" and Carolyn Banter of Penrose; husband Marvin "Frankie" Butler of Tarboro; sister, Pam Riddle and husband Ernie of Brevard; niece, Courtney McCall and husband Michael of Penrose; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
