Obituary

Pisgah Forest - Shirley Bishop Brown,  76 years old, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday June 28, 2025 after a long illness.

Shirley was an active member of Holly Spring Baptist Church. She loved to crochet, knit and sew. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Her passion in life was to tell everyone she met about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She always had a smile on her face and loved with her whole heart.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Sadie Bishop from Avery's Creek, her brother Ed and her sisters Helen, Sue, Ailene, and Ruth.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ralph Brown, daughter Jeanette DeVore (Mark), son Clifford Brown (Barbara), son Reverend Ben Brown (Crystal), son Charlie Brown (Tonya), her faithful nephew Chuck King (Grace), brothers Carl and Wilson, sisters Virginia, Martha, Callie, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and family members who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Funeral services will be held 12pm, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prir to the service. Interment will follw the service at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
