Shirley Everson, age 82, of Brevard, passed away Saturday, October 23. Born in the small farming town of Crossville, Illinois; she was the daughter of the late Paul and Pearl Longacre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Everson; sisters, Pauline Longacre, Betty Longacre, Vivian King, and Ida Antell; brother, Gene Longacre; and son-in-law, Kenneth Anders.
Her survivors include daughters, Sherry Reece (Eddie) and Cindy Anders. Two sisters, Delores Gisinger and Pat Watson also survive her.
She enjoyed spending time with her sometimes mischievous (in their younger years) grandchildren: Matt Brown, Jessica Morgan, Jennifer Morgan (Michael), Chris Shook, Brad Reece (Jill) and Justin Reece (Brittany). They blessed her with eight adorable great grandchildren that always put a smile on her face: Cole Morgan, Bella Morgan, Blaine Morgan, Barrett Reece, Lillian Reece, Harper Reece, Finley Reece and Brady Reece.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews spread across the country.
