Pisgah Forest - Shirley Ida Wilson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

She was a daughter of the late Leo and Katie Gillespie Winchester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Wilson.

She was a loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother. Shirley worked over the years at Olin, Bright Blessing Nursery, with her longtime friend Sonya Moore. She also worked at The Brian Center of Brevard where her sister Amelia was a resident to help take care of and entertain all of the residents. She also took care of her husband James before his death in 2013. Shirley was a caregiver and most of all loved children and her family. She had lots of friends and family that she talked to daily and cared about dearly. She was a part of a large family and the last of her siblings to pass away. She loved her nieces and nephews all of whom called her often.

Survivors include two sons, Brent Wilson and wife Sharon Wilson and Barth Wilson and Tonya, daughter, Bridget Wilson and Brett, grandchildren, Brenna Belvins and husband Spencer, Carlie Wilson and Ashton, Grayson Wilson and Meia Wilson, two great grandchildren, Spencer Crump and Myles Landreth.

Memorial services will be held 2pm, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Enon Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held, 2pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
