Brevard - Steve Buchanan a life-long resident of Transylvania County, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 72. He was the son of Johnny and Edith Buchanan of Brevard, NC. He is survived by his wife Betty Buchanan of Brevard, NC; two brothers and two sisters; Randy Buchanan of Fitchburg, MA, Sherrill Buchanan of Brevard, NC, Gladys Buchanan and Linda Koski of Fitchburg, MA. Two daughters and two sons; Renee Gerstenmier, Donna Arnold, Gerald Meece and Brian Meece - all of Brevard, NC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and granddaughter. Allen Buchanan and Zindal Buchanan of Brevard, NC, Marilyn Buchanan of Fitchburg, MA and Hope Nicole Arnold of Brevard, NC (9/28/99 - 9/28/99). Steve loved our Lord Jesus and was a devoted father and loved his family - wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren unconditionally. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Mt.
