Lake Toxaway – Stephen Wolf Fordyce, 59, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011. A native of Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Raymond Boyd Fordyce and Dorothy Bernice Wolf Fordyce. Mr. Fordyce was a professional photographer in Miami for 15 years before moving to Transylvania County and entering the food service field. He had been employed by the Greystone Inn and Lake Toxaway Country Club. Mr. Fordyce attended Lake Toxaway Baptist Church. Surviving are his sister, Wendy Fordyce Gebhardt and husband Dr. Fred Gebhardt of Fallston, MD; brother, Raymond B. Fordyce, Jr. and wife Nila of Roswell, GA; nephews, Cliff M. Chunn of Spring Hill, TN, and Justin Fordyce Chunn of Brentwood, TN. The memorial service will be held at 6 pm Friday, September 30, 2011 at Lake Toxaway Baptist Church with the Rev. D. Paul Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Toxaway Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
