Stephen Lee Owen, age 70, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Mr. Owen was born on August 10, 1951, in Transylvania County to Lois Cassell Owen of Brevard and the late Glen Owen. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Owen, and Leonard Owen, and one sister, Shirley Cisson. He had been employed by Ecusta for over 30 years and following Ecusta, he had been employed at Go Grocery. Mr. Owen loved to help others and he loved his children and grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his mother are his children, Curtis Owen of Clemson, SC, Stephanie Owen of Hendersonville, and Tonya Owen; two sisters, Mary Ellen Parker (Ted) of Brevard, and Christine Sprouse (Ray) of Surfside Beach, SC; four brothers, Wayne Owen (Judy) of Brevard, James Owen (Becky) of Brevard, Bobby Owen (Diane) of Pisgah Forest; and Carlos Owen (Kim) of Brevard; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
