Steve Henry Bush, 73, of Newton died Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. A local memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7 at Open Door Worship Center in Albany. Born August 28, 1947 in Brevard, N.C., Mr. Bush was the son of the late Henry Cecil Bush and Myrtle Hale Bush. He was also preceded in death by brothers, James L. "Buddy" Bush and Robert Bush. He was a painter/carpenter. Mr. Bush was a member of Calvary Worship Center in Pelham, where he had also served as pastor. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Bush of Newton; three sons, Steven M. Bush of Jacksonville, FL, Charles R. "Rickey" Bush of Leesburg, Matthew G. Bush of Brevard, N.C.; two daughters, Deanna Renee Shoemake of Winder, GA and Carrie Lyn Bush of Newton; one brother, Charles Daniel Bush of Dothan, AL; one sister, Nancy Long of Leesburg; 11 grandchildren, Brittany Bush, Hunter Bush, Peyton Bush Phelps, Mark Shoemake, Megan Shoemake Graham, Maleah C. Stone, Alaina P. King, Mason Pollock, Azilee Bush, Ezra Bush, Cailyn Bush; 5 great grandchildren, Brayden Phelps, Boen Phelps, Savanna Stone, Trey Graham, Carson Stone.
