Brevard -Sylvia Suzanne Crawford passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home.
She was born February 18, 1946 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of the late Leo and Ellen "Nellie" Williamson. In addition to her parents, Sylvia is preceded in death by four siblings: Laura Sepnieski of Orlando, Florida; Patricia Poock of Tucson, Arizona; and Joseph Williamson of Tucson, Arizona;
She graduated from Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, Florida and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1994.
Mrs. Crawford retired after twenty three years of work, her last position being a supervisor of pharmaceutical production at Pfizer, Inc., in Terre Haute, Indiana. She spent countless hours in volunteer service work with churches and deaneries in both Terre Haute and Brevard as well as with Habitat for Humanity and CODA. Thursdays volunteering at SAFE Attic was a highlight in her week, a time spent with great friends doing good work for others.
Survivors include one brother, Edward Williamson of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, three children: Michael R. Fraker II of Phoenix, Arizona; Jill Crossley of Phoenix, Arizona; Wesley R. Fraker of Portales, New Mexico, as well as six smart and adorable grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10am, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Brian Burg Drive, Brevard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to one of her favorite charities - Catholic Relief, Heifer International, and UNCTV.
