Sylvia Carolyn Owen Galloway, age 73, died Sunday April 7, 2013. A native of Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of the late Conway Martin Owen and the late Lois Elizabeth Hall Owen. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Tillman Julius Galloway. Survivors include her daughter Barbara Gayle Galloway, sons Randy Joe Galloway, Terry Tillman Galloway, Jerry Galloway and wife Pamela, and Sammy Galloway and his wife Jonie; grandchildren Heather Quinn, Zach Quinn, Dalton Galloway, Dakota Withrow, Austin Withrow, Nathan Galloway, Shawn Galloway, Tiffany Galloway, Casey Small, Jennifer Singleton and Jeremy Galloway; great-grandchildren Hope McCall, Claire Studley, Bryce Quinn, Kainen Galloway, Caleb Small, Clayton McKinney, Addison Galloway and Andrew Galloway; brothers Truett Owen and his wife Ailene and Verlin Ray Owen and wife Tracy, and sisters Joyce Tanner, Belva Childress and Sue Mccall and husband Jay; sisters-in-law Edith McCall, Betty Guilliams, Lillian Staton, Inez Owen and Ella Owen; as well as her community and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 10, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Von Galloway and Rev. Mack Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening April 9, 2013 from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home.
