Obituary

Terry Galloway, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Born January 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Louie and Beulah Pangle Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Bishop, Betty Stewart, Barbara Hendricks, and Brenda Robinson as well as infant sisters, Marinda and Frances Galloway, and brothers, James Galloway, Derrell Galloway, TC Galloway, and twin brother, Jerry Galloway.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Wanda Galloway; daughter, Tina Craig (Bill) of Sapphire; grandson, Tyler Barton (Lindsay) of Rosman; granddaughter, Cheyanne Craig of Sapphire. He also had four great-grandchildren that he adored, Israel, Hux, Wrenley and Ryan. He had many nieces and nephews as well.

Terry worked at Sangamo in Pickens, American Thread, Olin Corp., and then retired from the North Carolina DOT. He also spent some retired time working at the Country Skillet. He loved spending time with his grandkids, especially when they were younger, by taking them fishing, to see the cows, and to Cardinal for a milkshake. He was a big NASCAR fan and loved the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Funeral services were held at 1 PM Monday, September 16, 2024, at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Burial was in Galloway Memorial Park.
