Thelma L. Kitchen Brevard – Thelma L. Kitchen, 84, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Deltha Reese Landreth. She was also preceded in death by her brother; Gertha Landreth, her sister; Marie Guinn, and her grandchildren Jordan Samuel and Marlee Kitchen. Thelma was and excellent cook. She was a lifelong member of East Fork Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother and faithful friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband; Joseph Earl Kitchen, sons; Gary Lee Kitchen and Jessie Thomas of Quebec, Rodney Wayne Kitchen and wife Bonnie of Etowah, Rickey Earl Kitchen and wife Kathy of Blantyre, Terry Lynn Kitchen of Brevard and Kevin Eugene Kitchen of Blantyre, brothers; Kenneth and Leroy Landreth of Brevard, sister; Joyce Ann Lovelace of Brevard, grandchildren; Adam, Brandon, Joshua, Cory, Marisa, Brooke, and Tara and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at East Fork Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
