Thomas Cecil Ashe Pisgah Forest - Thomas Cecil Ashe, 92, went Home to be with the Lord, and his wife, Nina B. Ashe and his son, James K. Ashe and wife Marcia on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Luster and Sarah Greene Ashe. In addition to his parents, wife, son and daughter-in-law, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Arnold, Virgil, and Clarence Ashe, and his sisters, Margaret Mills, Marie Whitener, and Bessie Lance. Surviving are his daughter, Leona A. Galloway and husband J.C. of Rosman; sons, Roy N. Ashe and wife Ailene of Pisgah Forest, and John E. Ashe and wife B.J. of Pisgah Forest; sister, Margie Buchanan of Hendersonville; brother, Vessie Ashe of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Carmella Raines and husband Clarence, Derek Galloway and wife Michelle, Eric Galloway and wife Jan, Christopher Ashe, Melanie Delgadillo and husband Rafael; Sonya Ashe, Brad Ashe, and Missy White and husband John; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 4, 2012 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kent Lance officiating. Burial will be in Cathey Cemetery, Tuckasegee, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
