Thomas Coleman (TC) Galloway, age 83, of Rosman, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was born on April 27th, 1937 in Rosman, NC to the late Louie Carl and Beulah Pangle Galloway. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Ruth Galloway, brothers, James T. and Derrell Galloway, sisters, Frances Louise and Marinda Fern Galloway, Ruby Galloway Bishop, Betty Galloway Stewart, Barbara Galloway Hendricks and Brenda Galloway Robinson. TC proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his time aboard the destroyer, The USS Saufley, he was honorably discharged, and returned home to Transylvania County. He worked at Olin/Ecusta and married the love of his life, Carolyn. They had two sons, whom he loved dearly. From their time playing youth football through high school, he loved cheering them on as they played for his alma mater, the Rosman Tigers. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working outdoors. He was an active member of Middlefork Baptist Church and loved his church family. His favorite role in life was being, "Pops" to his three grandchildren. They were the light of his life and he was fiercely proud of them. TC will be sorely missed but, Praise the Lord, we have the promise that we will see him again! Survivors include two sons; Scott Galloway and wife Kristin of Rosman and Chuck Galloway and wife April of Lake Toxaway, brothers; Jerry 'Cokie' Galloway of Rosman and Terry Galloway and wife Wanda of Rosman, and grandchildren; Cade, AnnaBree, and Evie Galloway. Graveside services with military honors will be 2pm, Friday, March 19, 2021 at Galloway Memorial Cemetery on Hwy. 178, Rosman with Rev. Chester Chappell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
