Etowah – Thomas David Hendricks, 65, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017. A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late William Raymond Hendricks and Elizabeth Dalton Hendricks. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Dwight, Jimmy, Boots and Billy Hendrix; sister, Dorothy Kitchen. Mr. Hendricks worked for Merrill Well and Pump for many years. He was known as "Sarge". Survivors include his wife, Geneva Waycaster Hendricks; sons, Tim Hendricks and wife Denise of Rosman, Jamie Hendricks of Etowah; sister, Nancy Vaughan and husband Bill of Brevard; grandchildren, Johnny Duckett, Brandon and Kayla Hendricks, Logan, Kameron and Alyssa Hendricks; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Carolina Frady. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Monday, March 13, 2017 at Words of Life Tabernacle, 815 Glenn Bridge Rd., Arden NC. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
