Brevard – Thomas "Tommy" Henry Waters, 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late John Nevitte and Dicie Grogan Waters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Ruth Ducker Etters and Elizabeth Waters Cummings and his brother; Richard Earl Waters. Tommy was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Surviving are his wife Phyllis Houston Waters, step children; Page Elizabeth Wingate and Scotty Brent Coleman, sisters; Wanda Sue Waters, Wilma "Tootsie" Waters Morgan and Frances "Snookie" Waters Henson and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be held 5pm, Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Mary Shore officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 22 Fisher Road, Brevard, NC 28712.
