Brevard – Ules P. Bryson, 89, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Dewitt and Mima Miller Bryson. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Hare, Maybell Waldrop, and Myrtle Pollock, and his brothers, Leslie and Van Bryson. Mr. Bryson was a member of Cherryfield Baptist Church and he was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WW II on the USS Rockwell. He was an avid hunter and especially like bear hunting. Surviving are his wife, Lucy Tinsley Bryson; daughter, Katherine Bryson of Brevard; brother, Fred Bryson and wife Mary of Brevard; sister-in-law, Dolly Bryson of Brevard; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 1 PM Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Cherryfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Thielke officiating. Entombment will follow in the Pisgah Gardens Mausoleum. There will be a reception for family and friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday in the church fellowship hall.
