Brevard - Valerie G. Yates, age 67 passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Valerie was always active and kept herself busy with worthwhile pursuits – gardening, quilt-making, walking, spending time with friends, and other activities. Above all else, she loved people and valued helping others. She always took time to help a friend, as well as reach out to others. Her favorite way to reach out in the community was via her Bible-teaching ministry, offering assistance to those who wanted to learn what the Bible really teaches.

Valerie is survived by her spouse Paul Yates, daughters Jennifer San Martin and Laura Shinkle, parents Brian and Kathy Goulding, brother Tony Goulding and sister Patricia Goulding, as well as many loving friends.

A memorial service will be held 1pm, Saturday August 13, 2022 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Brevard, NC.
