Vera Sherwood Orr Holden, age 78, of Easley S.C. died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 24, 1931 in Transylvania Co. to late Charles and Jennie Ducker Orr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Charles "Butch" Holden, one granddaughter Stacey Holden, two sisters and five brothers. Mrs. Holden was a homemaker and a member of The Dacusville Church of God of Prophecy in Dacusville South Carolina. Survivors include her husband Leroy Holden of the home, one son Bobby L. Holden of Easley SC one daughter Mrs.Vickie Banks of Easley SC two brothers Bernard Orr of Jacksonville FL. and Robert Orr of TN. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held October 10, 2009 at 2 PM at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jeff Hunt, Rev. Tommy Owen and Rev. Randy Stamey. Interment will follow at Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday October 10, 2009, from 1-2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
