Brevard – Verlin "Slim" McCall, 79, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015. He was the son of the late Harley and Savannah Owen McCall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his bothers; Walter, Elberson, Robinson, Ray and Columbus and sisters; Elmer, Rosie, Pearlie and Dollie. Slim was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and he enjoyed being outdoors. Surviving are his daughters; Lorretta and Tammy McCall of Brevard, former wife; Sadie McCall, grandchildren; Kiana, Kala, Temika and Anna Whiteside and best friend; Kathy Dill. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
