IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Victoria
Hoagland
March 6, 1932 – February 18, 2026
Ms. Victoria Hoagland of Pisgah Forest, NC, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 93.
Victoria was born on March 6th, 1932, to Juan and Euphemia Del Pino in Flanagin Town, Trinidad where she lived until she moved to the United States with her daughter, Sophia, in 1986. She resided in Key Largo, FL for many years where she worked as a live-in nanny for many wonderful families. She moved to Pisgah Forest, NC with Sophia and her husband, Ed Sutton, in 1996, where she retired and enjoyed life as a loving grandmother to her grandson, Rudy.
Victoria was best known by friends and family for her infectious smile, humorous one-liners and expressive personality. She cared deeply for her large, extended family and offered advice and support to anyone she came across. At family get-togethers, it was a familiar sight to see Victoria sitting among the action, smiling away while she waited for the next hug and hello.
Victoria was a firm believer and devout follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her commitment involved daily prayer and the deep interpretation of scripture. She could be heard preaching a good sermon when the opportunity arose. She was also an accomplished seamstress who tackled complex patchwork blankets and pillows, which she often gave away too many friends and family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Melville Morrison and son-in-law, Ed Sutton. She is survived by sisters Shirley Seow and Lystra Reyes; her daughter Sophia Sutton; sons Wayne (Sue) and Paul (Helen) Morrison; grandsons Rudy Sutton, Philip Morrison (Melissa); granddaughters Marisa Fiechuk (Dave) and Cheyenne Morrisson; great-grandsons Kaden, Ashton and Nickolas Morrison, and Ayden Fiechuk; and great-granddaughters Alena and Phoebe Fiechuk.
