Balsam Grove Elvina Viona McCall Owen, age 83, of Balsam Grove went to be with the Lord Wednesday January 13th, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Riley F. and Hulda McCall McCall. She was also preceded in death by her husband John B. Batson, one daughter Carolyn McCall, three sons Bud, Charlie and Kenneth Batson, two granddaughters Nancy Harris and Julie Batson, and two infant grandchildren, four sisters, two brothers and a daughter-in-law Jean Batson. Linville Owen. Survivors include 2 sons, Johnny Batson and wife Susie of Cocoa FL, and Eddie Batson and wife Kathy of Brevard NC. 4 daughters, Margaret Owen and husband Linville of Balsam Grove, Juanita Owen and husband Dwight of Lake Toxaway, Tammy Hommel and husband Mark of Severn MD, April Taylor and husband Bobby of Crestview FL, twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 16th,2010 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Moody-Connolly funeral Home with the reverends Tommy Owen and Devon Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30pm Friday evening at the Funeral Home.
