Virginia Lynn Shook, 68, of Brevard passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She was the daughter of the late June Kincaid McCall. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert G. McCall, Jr. She was a devoted Christian and member of Dunns Rock Baptist Church. Lynn was a loving wife, wonderful mother, sister, and aunt. She was a devoted grandmother. Survivors include the love of her life for 50 years, her husband Wayne Shook; son, David Shook and wife Jeanne of Statesville, daughter, Debi Thomson and husband Doug of Concord; brothers, Don, Frank and Johnny McCall; sisters, Claudia Hiers, Sandra Kell and Carol Womick; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Emily, Caleb and Allyson and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
