Patricia Galloway Hampton, 80, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. Born in Transylvania Count on June 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ida Owen Galloway. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Bill Hampton, and also by her brothers, Bill Galloway, Ivan Galloway, and Clyde Galloway, and her sisters, Christine Wilson, Delphine Donnelly, Phylliss Constantine, Ethel Poole, Brenda Spillman, Brona Dunn, Sue Maness, and Shirley Tinsley. After graduating from Brevard High School, she began her 35 year career at Olin Corporation/Ecusta. After retirement in 1993, she traveled with Bill to meet with fellow Bossons enthusiasts, and to Ocracoke, where she was an avid seashell collector and enjoyed fishing. Patricia is survived by sister, Sylvia McCrary and husband, John, of Pisgah Forest; brother-in-law, Gus Constantine, of Brevard; special niece Barbara Brown, of Brevard; special nephew Patrick Dunn, of Hendersonville, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The family will have a private viewing on Tuesday, June 23rd, followed by a graveside service on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, 11am, at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory (formerly Pisgah Gardens).
